•Righteousness•

Romans 10:3 KJV
[3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

This verse has really made me think...most people live what they would consider a righteous life. They think they are good people because they haven't done anything really bad. By doing so they aren't able to submit to God's righteousness.

Even Christians do this. We have A, B, and C right in our lives so we establish that as our righteousness instead of just surrendering everything and submitting to God's righteousness.

This verse challenged me to look at my life and see if I am really submitted to God's righteousness or if I had just established my own.

Here are a few verses that explain God's righteousness:

Philippians 1:9-11 KJV
[9] And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; [10] That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; [11] Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

2 Timothy 2:22 KJV
[22] Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Proverbs 2:7-10 KJV
[7] He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. [8] He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. [9] Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea , every good path. [10] When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

May we all live lives submitted to His righteousness :)
