Christmas vs Xmas

There appears to be a religious spirit of nothingness, connected to the holiday of "X." If, for some reason, the observation of the birthday of Christ is offensive to you, then why observe the holiday at all? Whatever this spirit of X is to you, it is apparently neither scientific nor Biblical. Therefore neither is it real except in some kind of religious fantasy based on nothing (X). So, this imaginary spirit of X in a religiously non-religious sort of way, please allow me to offer some help. 

The holiday of Christmas is in regard to the birth of Jesus Christ. He came according to the promise of God throughout Scripture to pay for the sin of man, who was made in the image of God. In paying for this sin, God's holy demand of justice was satisfied that He might freely forgive all who would place their trust in Him. Those who reject Him call Him X, so that they can enjoy the holiday gift without acknowledging the giver. To those who embrace Him, he is according to Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." It is my Christmas wish that you will find Him and acknowledge Him for who He is as you recognize your need and His free grace.

John 3:18-19 "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." There is certainly no gift greater than the gift of eternal life and salvation from the justice we deserve in sinning against such a great and holy God. But as it says in Hebrews 2:3 "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;  . . ."

As the wise men sought Him when He was born, wise men still seek Him. It is my prayer that all who read this will seek him and find the greatest gift of all. If you do, you will find that He is not a mythical X. He is the Christ of "Christmas" who provided all you need to be reconciled with God.
